Purdue Northwest Hosting Educator Career Fair

WESTVILLE -

Purdue University Northwest will Tuesday hold a career fair on its Westville campus. The event will feature more than 30 organizations looking to fill a variety of education-related positions.

The career fair will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the James B. Dworkin Student Services and Activities Complex, followed by opportunities for follow-up interviews with employers between 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The university says employers range from the public school corporations to charter schools.

Many of the employers are from northwest Indiana, with more coming from other parts of the state. Others will also be attending from Chicago, Michigan, and Texas. Attendees are being encouraged to dress professionally.

    • Colts Name Overton As Producer

      The Indianapolis Colts have named Larra Overton as the team's new producer and on-air talent. Overton currently is a sports reporter and anchor for Fox59 WXIN/CBS4 WTTV. She will serve as producer for Colts Productions and will serve as the television sideline reporter for preseason broadcasts and radio sideline reporter for regular season games. Overton holds two degrees from Indiana University.
