LAFAYETTE -

Lafayette-based SDI Innovations, the parent of School Datebooks, has acquired a Colorado company. Financial terms of the deal for Action Agendas, which makes planning calendars and gradebooks for schools, are not being disclosed.

Tim Powers, chief executive officer of SDI Innovations says the acquisition was a strategic one that creates access the company would not ordinarily have to 1,000 additional schools.

In an email to Inside INdiana Business, a spokesperson for SDI Innovations said, "SDI Innovations and School Datebooks will absorb the duties and responsibilities from Action Agendas and while no jobs will be added immediately, the prospect for growth and increased employment opportunities are high."

SDI Innovations provides student planning supplies to more than 12,000 schools in 22 countries. The company currently employs 85 at its Lafayette and Denver offices, along with another 60 seasonal employees.
