Hoosier Couple Sets Techstars Record

Techstars and blockchain advisory firm Alchemist have announced the inaugural class of their 13-week Alchemist Blockchain Techstars Accelerator, which will be hosted in New York. This program will be the first in Techstars history to feature two completely independent businesses operating in separate industries  founded by a husband and wife.

Hoosier couple Matt and Marguerite deCourcelle are founders and chief executive officers of their respective companies in finance and video games. 

Marguerite deCourcelle is CEO of Blockade Gamese, a gaming studio using blockchain to allow gamers to own and sell their digital assets. She is focused on steering the industry toward building mainstream video games that leverage blockchain technology.

Her husband, Matt deCourcelle, runs crowdfunding portal Paperstreet.The company implements blockchain to provide retail investors with access to vetted private dealflow.

Paperstreet and Blockade Gamese are among  ten participants that were selected among hundreds of applicants based on which companies had the strongest founding team members, a deep understanding of the problem they are attempting to solve and a large enough market to disrupt.
