Muncie-based Whitinger & Co. has added Pam Black as bookkeeper at its Indianapolis office. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Human Resource Management at Texas Woman’s University. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree, Black went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Business Education at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is currently enrolled at Indiana Wesleyan University to attain her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.

Black started her career as a bookkeeper and office manager and then went on to be a human resource and training manager for a large hospital system in Houston, Texas. She then became a high school business teacher, where she led the school’s Future Business Leaders of America club that won a regional competition in Intermediate Accounting.

Black is a member of Charitable Advisor’s Nonprofit HR Peer Group and a member at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. She has also volunteered at a local food pantry, children’s daycare center and elementary school.
