LendingTree considered average down payment amount, FHA mortgages and credit scores below 680 to find the most budget friendly cities for first-time homebuyers.
The information gathered by LendingTree found that the average down payment in Indy was $38,114, with 30 percent of buyers using a FHA mortgage. 37 percent of buyers has credit scores below 680.
