‘Prairie Mobile’ Already Reaching Students

The interactive history park says Prairie Mobile, which is the result of a grant from the Duke Energy Foundation, helps bring STEM education directly to elementary classrooms.
Through February, the Prairie Mobile will travel to schools to teach the importance of electricity as a power source. Later this winter, Conner Prairie says it will "take flight" to teach the concepts of lift and thrust, while "stressing the importance of perseverance in innovation and invention."
Conner Prairie Chief Executive Officer Norman Burns appeared on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick shortly after the program was launched and said the Prairie Mobile helps reach school districts in areas that have a hard time securing transportation to bring students to the park.
