Indiana Sports Corp. Celebrates Inspiring Sports Growth

The organization says it administered 12 different programs this year, which impacted and provided opportunities for more than 70,000 young people throughout the state.
The Inspiring Sports Equipment for Kids Gear Distribution effort, in its 11th year in 2018, provided 20,000 pieces of new sports gear to more than 100 organizations, which Indiana Sports Corp says will benefit more than 50,000 youth. The organization also partnered with the Big Ten Conference on youth initiatives such as the Middle School Curriculum Program, Girls Basketball Clinic and Youth Football Clinics, among others.
The Indiana Sports Corp also awarded grants to 25 youth-serving organizations statewide through its Inspiring Sports Grant program. The funding, which will be used to provide programming opportunities for more than 15,000 young people in more than 50 counties, was awarded to groups, including:
- Outside the Box
- Play Ball Indiana
- Damar Services
- Girl Scouts of Central Indiana
- Agape Therapeutic Riding Resources, Inc.
- Camptown Inc.
- Nine13 Sports
- Horizons at St. Richard’s Episcopal School
- Boys and Girls Clubs of Porter County
- American Foundation for Preventative Medicine
- Boys and Girls Clubs of Muncie
- Happy Hollow Children’s Camp
- Playworks Indiana
