The Indiana State Budget Agency says General Fund revenues totaled $1.05 billion last month, slight above the December 2017 revenue forecast and more than three percent higher than the same month the previous year.
The agency says the state saw lower than expected collections from sales and use taxes and individual income tax, which were slightly outweighed by higher than expected collections from corporate and gaming taxes. The state says significant monthly fluctuations are expected, particularly for months of lower relative payment activity.
Year-to-date, the state has collected more than $6 billion, which is 1.6 percent above the most recent forecast and nearly 5 percent higher than totals through the same period in the previous fiscal year.
