Job seekers in Marion and Allen counties will have the chance to discuss employment opportunities Thursday at a pair of job fairs. The Indianapolis Veterans Job Fair will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indy and Northeast Indiana Works is hosting an event at the Allen County WorkOne career center.

The Indy job fair will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is open to military veterans, transitioning military personnel, and military spouses. Nearly 50 Hoosier employers such as Zimmer Biomet, Eli Lilly and Co., and GEICO will be on hand to fill hundreds of open positions. You can view the full list of exhibitors and more info on the event by clicking here.

The Fort Wayne job fair will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the facility, located at 201 E. Rudisill Road in Fort Wayne. It is being arranged in conjunction with Fort Wayne UNITED.

Six companies will be on hand looking to fill more than 200 jobs. The companies include:

  • Easterseals Arc of Northeast Indiana
  • Byron Health Center
  • D&W Fine Pack
  • Fort Wayne Metals
  • Brooks Construction
  • Goodwill Industries

“We believe that employment is a significant component to success, especially in the lives of young people,” said Iric Headley, director of Fort Wayne UNITED, an initiative to enhance opportunities for black men and boys. “Our partnership with Northeast Indiana Works and associated businesses helps us to improve access and increase opportunities for those seeking a career – a career that has the potential to change their tomorrow.”

Indianapolis-based tech startup Viral Launch will also host an open house and job fair as part of plans to hire up to 15 software developers and engineers over the next 60 days. Interested candidates will have the chance to meet and interview with senior executives, including co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Casey Gauss.

The event will run from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the company’s headquarters at 429 N. Pennsylvania Street in downtown Indy. The company says those interested should RSVP and submit their resume early.
