The Mayors’ Leadership Delegation and Industry Appreciation Mission is being coordinated by the Muncie-based East Central Indiana Regional Partnership and includes Rushville Mayor Mike Pavey, Richmond Mayor David Snow and New Castle Mayor Greg York.
Other participants include: ECIRP Chief Executive Officer Mindy Kenworthy, Rush County Economic and Community Development Corp. Executive Director John McCane, New Castle Henry County Economic Development Corp. CEO Corey Murphy, Economic Development Corp. of Wayne County President Valerie Shaffer, Japan-America Society of Indiana Executive Director Theresa Kulczak and Japan-America Society of Indiana Japanese Services Coordinator Yoshi Ogawa.
The mission will focus on industries including manufacturing, automotive, technology, food products and agriculture. Indiana’s top foreign investor is Japan and several large employers in east central Indiana are owned by Japanese parent companies.
