The class of 2018 will be enshrined Friday evening during a ceremony at the National Guard Armory in Lawrence. Inductees include Pulitzer Prize-winning World War II correspondent Ernie Pyle, former Adjutant General of Indiana Major General R. Martin Umbarger and long-time Lafayette attorney Joe Bumbleburg.
The organization, which was launched five years ago, cut the ribbon in April on a new building at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Marion County.
