The supply chain management and payment technology provider says it will add 120 jobs by 2020 and invest over $1 million into office renovations. FreightRover says it has already brought on 30 employees and expects to hire 60 by the end of next year at average salaries higher than the Marion County average.
Chief Executive Officer Eric Meek says "when it comes to transportation and logistics, Indiana truly lives up to its moniker as the ‘Crossroads of America,’ With the state also representing a major hub for new technology developments and supportive of business growth, it made perfect sense as the home for FreightRover. Our company operates at the intersection of transportation and technology, so Indiana is the ideal proving ground for our innovations."
In September, the year-old company announced it had closed on a new financing facility of up to $500 million. The funds will support FreightRover’s Indianapolis-based Rover180 LLC affiliate, which FreightRover says uses its PayEngine tech "to improve working capital and keep cash moving in the supply chain."
In addition to the PayEngine carrier payment processing system, FreightRover has three other platforms including CarrierHQ, which is a mobile marketplace for fleet services providers, SmartLTL, a connection point for less-than-truckload carriers and Freight xChange, which automates truckload freight management responsibilities.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered the company $2.3 million in conditional tax credits and training grants last year. You can connect to more about FreightRover’s growth plans by clicking here.
