The Franklin College Board of Trustees has elected James Due as its new board chair. He takes over for retiring Chair Christine Fields, who served for five years. 

Due is a senior vice president and global head of banking for Northern Trust’s Global Family and Private Investment office. The Chicago-resident is a 1982 graduate of Franklin College and has served on the board since 2003. He previously served as an investment banker with William Blair and Co.

Due also serves as chair of finance on the college board’s Executive Committee, and co-chaired the 2015 Presidential Search Committee. He also serves on the Investment, Trusteeship and President’s committees. Due holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Franklin College and a master’s degree in business administration from Butler University.
