Elevate Ventures has hired Kyle Keeney as an entrepreneur-in-residence to serve the southern Indiana region that borders the Ohio River along the Kentucky state line. He most recently served as chief executive officer for The Turnpike Partnership in Washington D.C. Keeney will remain a founding partner. There, he spearheaded development and relationships through a 20-organization partnership in the U.S. and Europe to accelerate research in life sciences and to connect research and entrepreneurs to mentorship and funding.

Elevate EIRs provide entrepreneurs with business advisory services to help them navigate the uncharted waters of starting a business, from launch to exit and every decision in between. Keeney is one of seven Elevate EIRs serving entrepreneurs and supporting the growth of entrepreneurial ecosystems across Indiana. He will be based in Jeffersonville.

Keeney also previously served as CEO of the Kentucky Life Sciences Council, which works with industry and government leaders to use advocacy to create a more favorable business environment. He will continue to be involved there as chairman of the organization. At the Kentucky Science & Technology Corp., he was an executive-in-residence, driving entrepreneurship and innovation.
