Grand Park Again Hosting Big Ten Soccer Tournaments

WESTFIELD -

Westfield's Grand Park Sports Campus will host the 2018 Big Ten Men's and Women's Soccer Tournaments. It will be the third straight year the men's tournament will be at Grand Park, and the second consecutive for the women's tournament. 

City officials are expected to soon announce some special events held in conjunction with the tournaments and how community organizations can get involved. “This year will be the most fan and community-focused Big Ten Tournament we have hosted,” said William Knox, Grand Park Sports Campus Director. “Our goal is to create an experience for our visitors-locally and from across the Big Ten region- that will help them show their team spirit and increase the love of soccer.” 

The women's semifinal games kick off the tournament on Friday, November 2. The final game will be held Sunday, November 4. The men's tournament begins Friday, November 9, with the championship happening Sunday, November 11. The Big Ten Network will carry both championship games. For ticketing information, click here

      Logansport Company Selected in Walmart Open Call

      A Logansport-based dog treat manufacturer is one of several companies chosen to have their products sold on Walmart shelves. Foppers Pet Treat Bakery took part in Walmart's annual Open Call event, in which hundreds of small businesses and entrepreneurs pitched their products for the chance to sell them in stores. Foppers Chief Executive Officer Michelle Leffert says she was shocked to hear she was selected during the two-day event at Walmart's headquarters in Arkansas.
