Louisiana-based HRI Properties is celebrating the "topping out" of the dual-branded Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels with crews reaching the final construction height of the building.
The building will include a 186-room Hyatt Place hotel and a 130-room Hyatt House hotel. It will also include more than 6,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a rooftop swimming pool, fitness facilities, an indoor/outdoor lobby bar, and more than 13,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. An adjacent 387-space parking garage is also being built.
"We’re very excited to reach this construction milestone on the dual-branded Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels," said Thomas Leonard, chief executive officer of HRI Properties. "This development will be a great example of our continued focus on growing premium hotels that will attract business and leisure travelers alike."
HRI Properties is not disclosing the financial investment in the project. The hotel building is located across from the main entrance of Bankers Life Fieldhouse in the city’s Wholesale District. The hotels are expected to open in 2019.
The project is not the only one of its kind in central Indiana. Officials broke ground in June on a dual-branded Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotel development at The Yard at Fishers District.
