In a notice to the state, the company says the layoffs are due the termination of a contract for its security services.
Andy Frain Services says it expects to begin eliminating positions around September 30. However, the company says the recipient of the new contract with FedEx has detailed plans to replace those positions and "in many cases may hire Andy Frain Services’ employees."
"We have authorized the incoming security provider at the FedEx Indy Hub facility that it may contact our employees regarding potential continued employment at the Indy Hub with the new security provider," the company said.
The positions affected by the layoffs include all licensed security guards and supervisors assigned to the site.
