Gary Airport to Unveil Customs Facility

Subscribe NowOfficials in northwest Indiana will today celebrate the grand opening of the new U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility at the Gary/Chicago International Airport. The facility is part of efforts by the airport to secure incoming international flights.
The airport says travelers can now fly into Gary from anywhere in the world without having to land at another airport to clear customs. More than 100 business, aviation, community and elected officials will be on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony, including U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly (D-IN) and Gary Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson.
