Job Fair to Showcase Thousands of Openings
Organizers say an employment event Wednesday in Indianapolis will feature more than 4,400 full and part-time openings. The Central Indiana Job Fair is expecting participation from some 145 Hoosier employers, with more than half offering tuition benefits to potential workers.
The event is a collaboration between Congressman Andre Carson (D-7) and Ivy Tech Community College. It will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ivy Tech Culinary and Conference Center in Indianapolis.
Carson says "although unemployment across Indiana is at its lowest level in nearly two decades, thousands of Hoosiers are still pursuing better pay, greater stability and stronger career prospects."
