The Auburn Cord Deusenberg Automobile Museum has named Brandon Anderson chief executive officer. He previously worked at museums in South Bend, North Carolina and Florida, and officially began his new role earlier this month.

ACDAM Board of Trustees Chair Herb Horrom says the selection came after "an extensive national search," citing Anderson’s "expertise, energy and passion for historic structures."

Anderson holds degrees from the Savannah College of Art & Design and the University of Oklahoma. His previous experience includes positions with the History Museum in South Bend, Tryon Palace in New Bern, North Carolina and the Edison and Ford Winter Estates in Fort Myers, Florida.

The museum is holding an introduction event Thursday. It’s located in the original national headquarters of the Auburn Automobile Company, dating back to the 1930s.
