Parkview Adds Mental Health Affiliate
A Fort Wayne-based mental health center is joining with Parkview Health. Park Center Inc. will become an affiliate of the health system, working closely with Parkview Behavioral Health and Parkview Physicians Group to provide comprehensive mental health care.
Parkview says Park Center and PBH will work together to integrate services where appropriate, as well as create greater access to them, enhance clinical processes, coordinate addiction treatment programs, and make capital investments in certain Park Center facilities.
"This affiliation will multiply the opportunities we have to impact the health of our communities," said Paul Wilson, chief executive officer of Park Center. "Park Center’s mission is to provide quality care and support to our clients, promoting wellness and healing for all ages and at every stage of recovery. Working alongside Parkview, we can expand that mission and do more for those in need of behavioral care."
PBH Chief Operating Office Chuck Clark calls the affiliation a "natural evolution" of the partnership between the two entities. He says it will build on the strengths of both organizations to provide a full continuum of mental health care for residents.
Park Center employs about 500 people at its facilities in Fort Wayne, Bluffton, and Decatur.
