Embassy Suites Plainfield Makes AppointmentsPosted: Updated:
Embassy by Hilton Plainfield Indianapolis Airport, a Sun Development and Management Co. hotel, has appointed Ben Joos general manager. He is responsible for directing all aspects of hotel operations, including guest services, hotel administration and overseeing marketing efforts. Joos previously served as general manager of the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Downtown Indianapolis.
Also, Mike Grabowski has been named director of sales. He is in charge of networking and assessing the needs of local businesses, working with Joos to facilitate marketing efforts and overseeing sales initiatives that assure the success of the hotel.
The seven-story, 174-suite hotel is located at 6089 Clarks Creek Road in Plainfield and is Hendricks County’s only full-service hotel. The property is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in the first Quarter of 2019.

Purdue Offers 'Stranger Things' Replica Tee
Purdue University has partnered with trademark licensing agent CLC to produce a special-edition replica Purdue shirt that appeared on an episode of Netflix’s “Stranger Things 3.” The university also teamed up with Venley to accurately replicate the shirt, which will be available at retailers on the West Lafayette campus and online later this month.

The Indiana Commission for Higher Education has promoted Alexa Deaton to associate commissioner and Chief Financial Officer. She previously served as director of accounting.
