The university says moving the facility from its current location in Mishawaka allows for more centralized operations in the region.
The Education Center has been located in Mishawaka since 2008. It will move into a building previously occupied by Brown Mackie College. Ryan Dombkowski, dean of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies at Trine, says the new location will better serve the communities in South Bend, Mishawaka and the surrounding area.
"Trine University has been a proud part of the state of Indiana since 1884 with an education center in the South Bend area for more than 20 years, and we look forward to returning to South Bend and continuing to provide residents of this region with a quality, accredited education from a non-profit institution," said Dombkowski.
Trine’s presence in South Bend began in 1997. The Education Center offers numerous associate’s, bachelor’s, and master’s degree programs, along with the university’s new entrepreneurial leadership doctoral program.
