Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, has added Thomas Lidbury as shareholder in the firm’s Indianapolis office. He will lead the firm’s E-Discovery and Records Release practice group. In this role, Lidbury will develop records retention/information governance programs for clients throughout the firm. He joins Ogletree Deakins from Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP, where he was a partner and co-chair of the firm’s E-Discovery practice group.

Notably, Lidbury is a founding member of the Seventh Circuit Electronic Discovery Pilot Program Committee and co-chair of its Principle Development Subcommittee. His specialized knowledge of E-Discovery has led him to publish a number of works on related topics, as well as counsel international companies on these types of matters. His practice also involves litigation in a variety of areas, including ERISA, consumer class actions, data breach class actions, civil rights, securities, insurance coverage, banking, medical and pharmaceutical devices, mass torts and franchise.

Lidbury earned his J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis and his B.A. from the University of Chicago.
