Subscribe NowSellersburg-based Weber Group Inc. has announced the acquisition of a Florida-based interactive play company. Financial terms of the deal for Design 2 Play LLC, which designs and builds waterplay and hands-on attractions, were not disclosed.
Weber Group, which itself designs, fabricates and builds everything from apartment complexes to amusement parks, says D2P’s products will add a wide variety of experiences to its clients, such as museums, waterparks, and resorts. D2P owner Tony Imgrogno will join Weber as director of interactive play.
"With over 30 waterparks on our roster this acquisition makes sense for the continued growth of Weber Group on multiple levels," said Adam McIntyre, creative director and partner at Weber Group. "We have worked with Tony over many years and it made sense to bring his products and expertise ‘in house’ to allow Weber to provide more services to our existing clients and to encourage additional relationships in the industries we serve."
Weber Group did not state whether any jobs would be affected by the acquisition.
