UE says the the program, which will be a hybrid of on-campus and online instruction, will provide "an opportunity for working professionals to grow and advance in leadership skills that are pivotal to success in today’s dynamic work environments."
The two-year, 36-credit hour program will have a focused core curriculum in the foundations of leadership, but will also include three specific concentration areas: higher education, nonprofit leadership, and public health.
"The curriculum allows students to set individualized leadership development goals and to achieve them through the knowledge, skills, insights, and experience they gain as a part of the program," says Jill Griffin, faculty program director for UE. "Developing and honing skills in teamwork, communication, cultural competence, visioning, innovation, and change management, our graduates will be prepared for the complexities of leadership."
The university is now accepting applications for the fall 2018 semester. Lindsay Roberts, director of adult education at UE, says the hybrid format of the program will provide flexibility for working adults.
