Moag Corp. has announced plans to relocate and expand its operations to Harrison County. The specialty glass fabricator will invest $8 million to build and equip a facility in the Lanesville Business Park and create 20 jobs by 2021.
Moag acquired seven acres of land in the business park from the Harrison County Economic Development Corp. The company will break ground on the 50,000-square-foot facility in mid-June and the project is expected to be complete in the spring of 2019.
Cameron Moag, president of J.C. Moag, says the location inside the Lanesville Business Park was the perfect solution for the growth and expansion of the company’s glass tempering and fabrication services.
"Since we currently serve customers along the I-64 corridor in Southern Indiana, our position just off the highway in Lanesville will allow us to provide better service to our growing customer base. We eagerly await becoming part of Harrison County and partnering with the Economic Development Corp to serve and grow with the Lanesville community."
The company will bring its existing 30 jobs to the new Harrison County location. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. has offered the company up to $165,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $24,000 in training grants based on its job creation plans. The Harrison County EDC is also offering additional training incentives of $3,000 per new job created in the first three years of operation up to a total of $150,000.
