Infrastructure Projects Score $61M in Funding

Subscribe NowThe Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization has awarded more than $61 million in federal funding for 31 infrastructure projects in central Indiana. The projects are set to go to bid in 2022 or 2023.
In order to be eligible for funding, the projects had to fall into at least one of four categories, including safety, air quality, transportation alternatives and surface transportation. Each project that receives funding requires a local match.
"With requests for 73 projects totaling $186.5 million, it is clear that infrastructure needs in Central Indiana are great," said Anna Gremling, executive director of the Indianapolis MPO. “This funding will help local governments address the ongoing challenges of building and maintaining the infrastructure that is so critical to the regional and state economies."
The Indianapolis MPO covers 1,520 square miles, including 31 cities and towns in eight counties. You can view the list of projects that received funding below:
