INDIANAPOLIS -

16 Tech Community Corp. has named Emily Krueger chief operating officer. She previously served as vice president of administration for Indianapolis-based LDI LTD. The organization is the operating entity of the high-profile, 60-acre 16 Tech innovation district coming together on the city's near west side. Krueger will help lead development efforts. Plans for 16 Tech include research and innovation space, as well as a mix of residential, retail, office and public properties designed to attract businesses and talent in the biosciences, technology and advanced engineering.

Prior to joining LDI in 2013, Krueger served in multiple roles with former Senator Dick Lugar in Washington D.C. and for his campaign. Her position as VP involved evaluating acquisition opportunities and responsibilities in human resources, corporate governance and marketing and communications.

16 Tech Chief Executive Officer Bob Coy, who was hired last year as the organization's first head, says "as an executive team member at LDI, Emily gained great insight into what it takes to grow and support companies in a variety of industries and stages of development. That experience will be invaluable as we build a culture and architecture to support our partners and tenants."

In March, the 16 Tech Community Corp. received a $38 million Lilly Endowment Inc. grant to boost initial development on the site near the IUPUI campus and the White River. You can connect to more about the appointment by clicking here.
