The chief executive officer of Elkhart-based Patrick Industries Inc. is adding to his leadership duties. The company’s board of directors has appointed Todd Cleveland chairman of the board. He has already served as a member of the board. Cleveland succeeds Paul Hassler as chairman, though Hassler will continue to serve as a director.

The board has also appointed Scott Welch as its lead independent director. The company says both appointments are effective immediately.
