SmithAmundsen has promoted attorneys Philip List and Erika Stamper to partner. List is a health care attorney and has a broad range of experience in handling complex disputes for clients across many industries. He also helps businesses resolve matters involving non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, fiduciary duties, and tortious interference claims. List regularly represents clients in administrative proceedings and in civil litigation, from inception through jury trial. He serves on the board of directors for the Indianapolis Public Library Foundation and the board of directors for the Indiana Society for Healthcare Risk Management.

Stamper’s practice is focused on counseling insurers on complex coverage and other insurance related matters at both the claim stage and in litigation. She concentrates her insurance coverage practice on personal, commercial and professional lines of insurance and handles coverage matters in the areas of business liability, homeowners and renters liability, underinsured/uninsured motorist claims, mass tort, construction, environmental and professional liability. Stamper also routinely counsels and represents insurers regarding extra-contractual and bad faith claims. Her practice involves providing coverage opinions, negotiating coverage disputes at the pre-litigation stage, handling all aspects of coverage litigation on behalf of insurance companies and participating in settlement negotiations and mediations.
