INDIANAPOLIS -

Indianapolis-based Nyhart has appointed Lisa Hague as chief executive officer.  Hague is the 75-year old company's first female CEO. She has served as chief financial officer of the consulting organization since 2011.

Hague succeeds Thomas Totten, who will retire as CEO, but continue consulting for the company, and will also serve as actuarial science director at the University of Notre Dame. Hague began as CFO as the company expanded nationally and doubled in size. Hague is also co-founder of the company's new fintech venture, Votaire. “I am very excited about leading the next generation of Nyhart. Historically we have hired the very best talent and this is reflected in our results. As we continue our growth as well as expand in other areas there will be many opportunities for our diverse staff”, said Hague.

Hague holds degrees from Ball State University and Indiana University. She will assume responsibilities in August.
