The Marshall County Economic Development Corp. says the Culver Business Expansion and Retention, or CBEAR, program will assess the needs of retail and commercial businesses in Culver.
The goal of the program is to develop programming to provide business assistance. A team of trained community volunteers will hold one-on-one, on-site interviews with business leaders using a formal survey to gain their perspectives on business-related issues.
"As evidenced by our recent Stellar and Main Street designations, Culver is dedicated to planning projects that will help our community grow and improve quality of life," says Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist. "Now we want to focus our efforts on another important part of our community—small businesses. Meeting directly with our restaurants, shops, and other local businesses will help us understand what they need and how we can help them."
The program is the result of a partnership among the town of Culver, the Marshall County EDC and Culver Main Street Corp.
