Valparaiso University has appointed Susan VanZanten dean of Christ College — The Honors College, effective July 1. She joins the college as its first female dean during its 50th year as an honors college. VanZanten has worked at Seattle Pacific University since 1993, most recently as professor of English. She holds a Ph.D. and master of arts from Emory University and a bachelor of arts from Westmont College.
