New Center Steps Up IU Kelley’s Career Service Game
Indiana University Kelley School of Business Dean Idie Kesner says the newly-dedicated, $14 million Conrad Prebys Career Services Center in Bloomington is befitting of the school’s "top notch" career development and placement offerings. The 30,000 square-foot facility includes 70 interview rooms for recruiters and students and office space for nearly 30 employees. Kesner says several hundred companies recruit Kelley undergraduate and graduate students annually and the previous facilities were not serving them well.
In an interview with Inside INdiana Business, Kesner said the career center will help with recruiting top students inside and outside the state. "I don’t think there’s any doubt that students today and their parents make choices not just on the quality of the academics, but they also make choices about whether the school they’re going to go to will provide them the career opportunities that they really seek," she said, "so you really have to have a top quality career services program in order to attract the best and brightest students. Those students from Indiana, students from throughout the United States and, really, students globally."
The center, which offers career coaching and networking opportunities, began serving Kelley students in January. View more about the center:
