Brackets For Good Begins in Indiana
An annual tournament-style fundraising event for nonprofits tips off Friday evening. Brackets For Good will feature 64 central Indiana nonprofits competing to raise the most money and, for the first time, a second tournament will begin featuring nonprofits from throughout the state. In an interview airing this weekend on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick, Brackets For Good Inc. co-founder and Executive Director Matt McIntyre says community partners are key to the organization’s continued growth.
"The amazing partners we have here in Indiana are Hoosiers at heart and we, as Hoosiers, want to help," said McIntyre. "As we help, we start to learn that CSR, corporate social responsibility is no longer a ‘nice-to-have,’ it’s a must-have. This year, we’ve encouraged nonprofits to team up with more local companies so we’ve got even more people participating."
The statewide tournament, which runs through April 6, was announced in January. It adds to the organization’s growing list of markets offering the tournaments, which now totals more than a dozen. You can also keep track of the Indianapolis tournament by clicking here.
