Coworking Space in Zionsville Grows
After two-and-a-half years, zWorks coworking space is expanding its footprint in Zionsville. The organization’s new annex, slated to open by the end of February, will include eight rooms of conference, meeting and startup office space. Executive Director Kate Swanson says use and demand at zWorks are growing, as evidenced by a new waiting list. In an interview with Inside INdiana Business, Swanson described membership as diverse.
"We have over 200 members, everyone from a guy that works for Google to remote workers for big corporations and entrepreneurs — sometimes we call them ‘solo-preneurs,’ those people that have their own businesses," she said. "It’s been really fun to watch the startups here at zWorks and the teams that they bring in, because they are bringing in people from everywhere when they start to build their teams."
The first tenant in the new office is Maggie Daniels, founder of online tiny house rental marketplace Try It Tiny LLC. The annex is located on Pine Street in the city’s downtown between The Lemon Bar and Ganache Chocolatier. Swanson adds "Kudos to the zW board for envisioning our needs, mobilizing and executing this expansion plan. Our board has been working fast and furious to provide more space for our growing community." She calls the need to respond to growth "critical."
