Carmel-based tech startup Lumavate LLC is adding two Indy area tech veterans to its executive team. The company, which provides a platform for creating cloud-based mobile apps, has named Mark Hill chief executive officer and Bill Godfrey vice president of business development.

Hill was the co-founder and president of another software company, Baker Hill, which was acquired by Experian in 2005 and sold to New York-based private equity firm The Riverside Co. in 2015. He is also a managing partner at Collina Ventures, which has invested in Lumavate in the past.

"There is a fundamental shift happening in mobile technology, and it’s affecting how interact with consumers on mobile devices," Hill said in a news release. "Lumavate is positioned to help brands transform their mobile strategies and truly think differently about what mobile means for their business. I’m also thrilled to be working alongside someone as talented as Bill Godfrey."

Godfrey is a co-founder and board member for Lumavate and says he is "thrilled to take on a leadership role in the day-to-day operations of the company." In his new role, Lumavate says Godfrey will lead the company’s strategic partnership and alliances efforts.

Godfrey is the former co-founder, CEO and chairman of Indy-based tech company Aprimo and also serves as managing partner at 4G Ventures.

Both Hill and Godfrey have been recognized at the TechPoint Mira Awards over the past couple of years. In 2017, Hill received the TechPoint Foundation for Youth Bridge Builder Award. Godfrey won the TechPoint Investor of the Year Award in 2016.

Last February, Lumavate announced it had closed on a $2 million round of seed funding.
