An Arizona-based tech company that announced major growth in Indianapolis earlier this year says it will employ a similar strategy in another Midwestern state. Levementum says it will expand its Salesforce Commerce Cloud services and add jobs in Michigan.

In February, the CRM and business consulting firm detailed plans to locate in The Union 525 in downtown Indianapolis and add 175 jobs by 2021. Michael Burton, senior vice president of Levementum, says moving north is a logical next step.

"We've had great success in Indianapolis, and Michigan is the next natural transition for our growth evolution," Burton said in a news release. "With our addition of Michael Allinger as practice director along with Michigan's proximity to commerce expertise and higher education institutions, we have established a solid foundation for success."

Burton and Levementum co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Doug Guilbeau appeared on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick in February to talk about the firm's Indy expansion plans. You can watch that interview by clicking the link below:

The week-long event was launched to bring people together to meet, learn and share ideas and it features sessions, showcases, screenings, exhibitions, and a variety of networking opportunities. Music and film, and the entertainment industry were the main drivers but over the years the event has grown into so much more. Events like SXSW have served as inspiration for a new event to be offered this spring, IDEA Week 2018.
