Cummins Awarded Military Contract Boost

Subscribe NowThe U.S. Department of Defense has awarded a multi-million contract boost to Columbus-based Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) . The contract modification, totaling nearly $8.5 million, calls for the production of diesel engines for the U.S. Army.
Work on the 675-horsepower V903E engines will be performed in Columbus. The contract is expected to be complete by June 1.
Earlier this year, the DOD awarded $25 million to Cummins to produce the same engines and others. The U.S. Army Contracting Command in Michigan is the contracting activity.
