Lebanon Manufacturer to Celebrate Expansion
Lebanon-based Shark-Co Manufacturing will Monday afternoon cut the ribbon on its expanded manufacturing facility in Boone County. The Boone County Economic Development Corp. says the project was completed with the help of its microloan program.
Shark-Co has invested $400,000 in the facility. The Boone County EDC adds the company plans to hire up to five new employees.
Shark-Co makes custom foam tool organizers for customers including Porsche of North America, IndyCar, and the Southern California Fire Department. The organization says Shark-Co owners Jason and Monica Sharkey were able to use the microloan to purchase additional manufacturing equipment and make necessary improvements to the new location.
The Sharkeys will be joined by Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry and Boone County EDC Executive Director Molly Whitehead for the ribbon cutting ceremony, which is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
