A well-known trial attorney in Indianapolis has joined law firm SmithAmundsen LLC. The firm says Linda Pence will be a litigation partner and will lead its national white collar crime group.

Steve Stitle, managing partner of SmithAmundsen’s Indianapolis office, says the addition of Pence is a "once-in-a-lifetime affiliation for any firm." He says she brings a national prominence in the area of white collar crime to the firm.

Pence is a former trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice and recently closed her own firm, PenceHensel LLC. She has more than 40 years of experience with criminal, civil and regulatory matters.

During her career, Pence has also served as an instructor at the FBI Academy, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Offices of Inspector General and Legal Education Institute and Department of Justice. She is also past president of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Merit Board.
