The state’s food and agriculture initiative, AgriNovus, has added three members to its board of directors. AgriNovus Indiana Chief Executive Officer Beth Bechdol says the additions "validate the commitment of leaders across the state to advance Indiana’s leadership in the agbiosciences."

Kess Berg (pictured) is CEO of Huntington-based Advanced Agrilytics and Ag Ingenuity Partners. AgriNovus says Berg’s focus is bridging the gap between crop growth and development, soil chemical and physical properties, and general agronomic practices.

Gil Farley, founder and president of Fort Wayne-based Biodyne Midwest, joins the board. He is transitioning to the board after serving on the AgriNovus Innovation Council. His company focuses on using beneficial microbes to enhance crop productivity and the environment.

Finally, the board has added Randy Kron (pictured) to its ranks. Kron is president of the Indiana Farm Bureau, the largest general farm organization in the state.

"To have the state’s largest farm organization join alongside two early-stage companies focused on spatial agronomic and biological tools for producers, further demonstrates the importance of innovation and emerging technologies to production agriculture," Bechdol said in a news release.

AgriNovus Indiana is a part of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership.
