Vroom Looking to Fill Jobs in Whitestown
New York-based Vroom plans to hire more than 75 workers at its newest facility in Whitestown. The online car retailer says it is looking to fill a variety of positions, including automotive service technicians, automotive detailers and quality control managers.
Vroom recently opened the 500,000-square-foot reconditioning and fulfillment center, which was part of a $13.5 million investment announced in September 2015. The town of Whitestown says it will allow the company to provide faster delivery of cars to more than 50 million potential customers within a 300-mile radius.
In addition to having the open positions posted online, Vroom will host two hiring fairs on November 30 and December 14. Both events will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
When plans for the facility were first announced, the company said they chose central Indiana because of its growing reputation as a logistics hub, extensive labor pool and proximity to other Midwest markets.
