Culture Matters: ADVISA
A business advisory firm is showcasing its newly-renovated office space in a nearly century-old house in Carmel’s Arts & Design District. ADVISA was launched more than 30 years ago by Chairman Bob Wilson and has grown to currently employ 20. The company is featured in this month’s Culture Matters segment and FirstPerson Managing Director Mark Minner says ADVISA has placed an emphasis on cultivating and retaining top leaders long before it was a popular strategy.
ADVISA began remodeling its space more than a year-and-a-half ago and Minner says the nine-month process has left the space with a more cool and uplifting feel that is more reflective of the company’s style. "You need different spots to land, different spots to collaborate with other folks in that setting, but it’s really cool — not just because it’s in a sort of a historic home — it’s got this new feel and it’s in a really cool area of Carmel."
Minner says ADVISA looks at "all types of majors" when adding top talent, looking for critical thinkers that often have liberal arts backgrounds.
ADVISA says its mission is "to improve the world one leader at a time" and the focus of its core values include: Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, Client Service and Continuous Learning.
