Notre Dame Dedicates New Facility in Presidential Fashion
A signature piece of the $400 million Campus Crossroads initiative at the University of Notre Dame has been dedicated. During a ceremony this weekend, former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush took part in honoring family friend Joseph O’Neill III, a Texas-based developer and Notre Dame grad whose name is carried by the new O’Neill Hall.
The 100,000 square-foot building is connected to Notre Dame Stadium and is one of three additional facilities constructed as part of the school’s largest-ever building project. It features seven stories and includes LaBar Family Recital Hall, LaBar Family Performance Hall, as well as music library, studio, classroom, rehearsal and practice space.
Bush has made six visits to the South Bend campus since 1980.
