Situated at the Carmel City Center, the taproom is the fifth Books & Brews location in addition to the original brewpub in Indianapolis and taprooms in Zionsville, Brownsburg and Muncie.
Co-owners Alex Stanley, a CPA and municipal advisor, and his wife Lori, an Indianapolis Colts cheerleader and pediatric registered nurse, signed the franchise agreement for the Books & Brews Carmel location in April.
"This journey has been indescribable, and we are thrilled to bring this unique and amazing concept to the City of Carmel," said Alex Stanley. "We strive to be a place for people without a place and we can’t wait to see how this community will embrace and shape our store."
The opening comes less than a month after the University of Indianapolis announced an agreement to bring a Books & Brews location near its campus. An additional location in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is also in the works.
