The Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites has named Krishna Heyward chief financial officer. She brings more than 20 years of experience to the ISMHS leadership team. Heyward most recently served as controller of two divisions – Division of Family Resources and the Office of Early Childhood and Out of School Learning at the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration.

During her career she has worked at the Department of Child Services, State Budget Agency and the Family and Social Service Administration. In addition to her extensive career in state government, Heyward has worked at Carl Karcher Enterprises/Hardee’s Food Systems and International Business Machines.

She has a MBA with a concentration in finance from East Carolina University and an undergraduate degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University.
