French Consul General to Visit Indy School

INDIANAPOLIS -

The new Consul General of France is set to visit the International School of Indiana. Monsieur Guillaume Lacroix will Wednesday meet with French students at the school and answer trade and foreign policy questions.

The French Consul General is based in Chicago and promotes trade between Midwest and French companies. He is an honorary member of the ISI Board of Directors.

The school says Lacroix will observe French immersion classes at ISI's Lower School, which serves students age 3 through grade 5, and then speak to the older French students at ISI's Upper School, which covers grades 6-12.

"We are thrilled that our students have the incredible opportunity to meet with such a high-level diplomat," said Head of School David Garner. "This will help them put their French skills to the test and explore more about world events and Indiana’s place in the global community."

Lacroix became Consul General of France in Chicago in late August. The visit is being coordinated by the International Center in Indianapolis.
