500 Festival Elects Board Officers, Adds Members

The 500 Festival has announced its 2017 – 2018 elected officers and additions to its board of directors.

They include:
     • Chairman of the board: Rob Hillman (pictured), president and general manager, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Indiana
     • Vice Chairman of the board: Mike Strohl (pictured), senior vice president, chief customer officer, Citizens Energy Group
     • Secretary: Kathy Cabello, president, Cabello Associates Inc.
     • Treasurer: Rob Pruitt, regional managing partner, BKD, LLP

New board members:
     • Nicole Mitchell, office of inclusion and diversity lead, Honda Manufacturing of Indiana
     • Mike Boatright, senior vice president, commercial banking, PNC Bank
     • Brandi Davis-Handy, communications leader, AES United States
     • Phyllis Ferrell, vice president, Alzheimer’s disease platform team leader, Eli Lilly and Co.
     • Jeff Holley, executive vice president and chief financial officer, OneAmerica Financial Partners Inc.
     • Mario Rodriguez, executive director, Indianapolis Airport Authority

      Jasper-based Krempp Construction has earned a nearly $17 million military contract. The deal involves the construction of new buildings at Naval Support Activity Crane in southern Indiana, as well as the demolition of 11 buildings. The contract with the U.S. navy calls on Krempp to construct a shipping and receiving building, as well as an ammunition production building for plating metal munition parts.       Holcomb to Make FFA Announcement

      Governor Eric Holcomb will Monday join officials from the National FFA Organization and AgriNovus Indiana to make an announcement regarding this year's National FFA Convention & Expo in downtown Indianapolis. The FFA says the announcement will impact 650,000 student members nationwide.

    • Fishers to Break Ground on 'The Yard'

      Officials will Thursday break ground on a $110 million culinary and entertainment hub in Fishers. When complete, The Yard at Fishers District will feature restaurants and a culinary accelerator, in addition to hotel, residential and retail space.
